Odette leaves the waist where it is and widens in one unbroken sweep to the hem. The neckline curves in two soft peaks across the bust, and the sleeves run the length of the arm to the wrist. The mikado is a thick silk weave that stands away from the body and keeps its shape. The hem runs out into a chapel train, the shorter of the two usual ones, and the back is half open.
