Carla is made as a top and a skirt, so each half is fitted on its own. The neckline cuts down in a V, which lengthens the neck, and the sleeves cover the top of the shoulder and stop there. The lace carries the pattern, worked open so what is under it still reads. The hem stops at the knee, and the back fastens with buttons down the spine, which is the side the ceremony sees.
