Valles leaves the waist where it is and widens in one unbroken sweep to the hem. The neckline is cut square, with the corners kept sharp, and the straps are two fine cords, barely there. The lace carries the pattern, worked open so what is under it still reads. The back fastens with buttons down the spine, which is the side the ceremony sees.
