Indigo is fitted through the bodice and released at the natural waist. The neckline curves in two soft peaks across the bust, and the straps come away, so the bodice can be worn bare. The mikado is a thick silk weave that stands away from the body and keeps its shape. The hem runs out into a chapel train, the shorter of the two usual ones, and the back fastens with buttons down the spine, which is the side the ceremony sees.
