This gown is held to the body as far as the knee, then let go into a flare. The neckline runs level across the bust with nothing cut into it, and the straps come away, so the bodice can be worn bare. The mikado is a thick silk weave that stands away from the body and keeps its shape. The hem runs out into a chapel train, the shorter of the two usual ones, and the back closes with a zip.
