Alice runs its seams from shoulder to hem instead of breaking at the waist. The neckline is filled in with tulle fine enough that the trim seems to rest on skin, and the sleeves cover the top of the shoulder and stop there. The lace carries the pattern, worked open so what is under it still reads. The hem falls to the floor with nothing following behind it, and the back fastens with buttons down the spine, which is the side the ceremony sees.
